Motabitz Car Battery Service

We can test, we can charge your old one, we can supply a new one, we can supply & fit a new one. We never sell you something you don’t want; we just offer the options available – you decide!

It works like this:

Visit any store and let us test the existing battery. We use an electronic tester that can print out a report if necessary. It’s supplied by Yuasa (our battery partner) and we must input the details of the battery to be tested to make sure we are using the right test to check it.

The tester results are ‘Good’ ‘Recharge’ or ‘Replace’.

1. Good – we can do a couple of basic checks to make sure everything else seems OK
2. Recharge – we can charge this instore if you do not have a charger at home or suggest that you take it on a nice long run 20 miles to recharge. We can then test again.
3. Replace – pop back instore and we will quote for you for the battery options recommended. You choose, we have standard O.E replacement and heavy-duty upgrade options with a five-year warranty.

 If you decide to have the battery fitted by us, you can take a seat instore and let us get       on with it. No worries.

Battery fitting is no longer as straight forward as it was 25 years ago. Today’s cars are electronic jungles and the price to fit will vary dependent on the car. ‘Standard’ battery fitting starts from £15 or from £25 for start / stop, AGM and EFB batteries.  

The price we quote is the price you’ll pay!

Please note: We do reserve the right to decline a fitting service if we believe the vehicle is not safe to work on by our technicians.

Recycling

We are happy to recycle your old battery for free. We use a registered waste collector who will dispose of the old units in an environmentally safe way. Job done!

What if my car won’t start and I cannot get to a Motabitz store?

We can come to you! This isn’t the service for everybody as we are not a breakdown service. We will just fit a new battery if you want us too. We will make a charge for call out and delivery plus fitting and the new battery. If you can get a jump start and get to the store this is the best option.

Will you have the right battery for my car?

Motabitz stock a huge range of car batteries so more than likely, yes, we will. On the odd occasion that we don't have the correct battery for your car in stock, we will do our utmost to get you back on the road. If you think your battery is unusual, call us to check stock or use our online battery application to check.

We stock everything from standard car batteries with a 3-year guarantee through to our Yuasa 5000 series batteries which have a 5-year guarantee.
